Dr. Sana Sa’ad Ali Hamad Al-Zuhaibi is a distinguished Senior Consultant in Pediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus, and Ocular Genetics at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH), Oman, where she has served since September 2009. She also leads the Visual Electrodiagnostic Unit at SQUH, a role she has held since 2010. 

Dr. Al-Zuhaibi completed her medical degree at Sultan Qaboos University in 1993, followed by a BSc from the same institution in 1990. She pursued advanced training in ophthalmology, earning a Diploma in Ophthalmology from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, in 2004, and completing a Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Ocular Genetics at McGill in 2005. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, holding a specialist certificate in Ophthalmology and a fellowship in the division of Surgery. 

Throughout her career, Dr. Al-Zuhaibi has held various significant roles, including Consultant Pediatric Ophthalmologist at SQUH (2005-2009), and is actively involved in medical education as an Assistant Program Director and a member of the Education Committee at the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) Ophthalmology Training Program. Her research contributions are notable, with involvement in multiple grants, including studies on autosomal recessive disorders, primary congenital glaucoma, and the correlation of central corneal thickness with intraocular pressure in pediatric patients.
